John Leonard Harris is a native of St Louis, Missouri who currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska. John grew in the bleachers in Busch Stadium watching Bob Gibson, Lou Brock and the great Cardinal teams. He also loves the “cardiac” football Cardinals, before they ran off to Arizona.
John aka “The Magic Man” played high school basketball (all-conference as a junior) and football for St. Louis Priory. Bad knees kept him from playing at the next level, nevertheless he has stayed close to the games. He has served as coach for youth football and basketball, as well as veteran broadcaster (20 years) on radio (KFOR1240AM) and online (www.lincolnprepsportsnow.com) for college (Nebraska Wesleyan University) and high schools (Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding areas).
He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia (BA, Radio-TV-Film) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Masters, Teaching and Learning). John is a pastor, community leader, speaker, broadcaster and award-winning author.
John is an avid Steelers and Lakers fan and has been since the 70’s. The loves tennis and fishing. He will even play a little golf every now and then.
